Matt Davis was shot in the line of duty back in July 2023. Multiple surgeries. Months of learning to walk again. He says his first thought after waking up wasn't about himself, it was a relief that nobody else who showed up to work that day got hurt.

We're honoring Jeremy Abell: Purple Heart recipient, former police officer, now an active-duty firefighter. He served as Military Police in Iraq, earned his Purple Heart during a convoy escort, then came home and kept serving first with Bowling Green PD, now with the fire department.
